External Assessments:

At Knightsbridge House, we believe that third party external evaluation of our students is equally important to ensure that the school and our students are performing at internationally benchmarked standards.

Knightsbridge House conducts the following 3rd party assessments once a year in Term 4 (May) :

  1. Young Chinese Test “YCT” for students Grade 2 to Grade 6;

  2. Cambridge CEM MidYIS for students in Grade 6;

  3. Cambridge CheckPoint Year 9 (Grade 8) (Mandatory from May 2024);

  4. Cambridge CheckPoint Year 6 (Grade 5) (Optional from May 2025)

Along with these internal and external assessments we try to look at the students holistically and give students the best outcomes regardless of their academic performance.

KBH Cambridge MIDYIS Results May 2023

On 5 May 2023 KBH students participated in the Cambridge Center for Evaluation and Monitoring MidYIS Assessment for students age 11-14. The Cambridge MidYis Assessment is undertaken by over 4000 schools globally (and over 30 schools in Singapore) and is used to assess ability and progress in Literacy, Numeracy and Processing Skills. The Cambridge MidYis Assessment is also used by schools as a baseline to indicate IGCSE outcomes.

The overall performance of participating KBH students has surpassed every category, including participating English state schools, international schools, 30 participating Singapore schools, Hong Kong schools, South Korea schools, India schools and even A Level standards! This is absolutely amazing and something to celebrate!

The hard work and dedication of our students and teachers have truly paid off, and we couldn't be prouder of this outstanding achievement. As a new school in its third year of operations this external third party validation of our students abilities is remarkable!
