Meet our Academic Board

The Academic Board

 The Academic Board shall have the following responsibilities:

(a) to develop and review the policies and procedures on all academic matters , including but not limited to academic quality assurance measures; and

(b) to facilitate the implementation of and compliance with such policies and procedures.

The Academic Board shall —

(a) develop a set of standards to ensure the academic quality of every course to be offered or provided , including but not limited to —

(i) the content of the modules or subjects of the course;

(ii) the duration of the course; and

(iii) the appropriate entry and graduation requirements;

(b) approve each person to be deployed to teach any course offered or provided or any module or subject thereof, after determining that the person possesses the minimum qualifications and experience and other criteria prescribed by law; and

(c) review the policies and procedures referred to in paragraph (3) at least once every 2 years.

Datuk ir. Khairil Anwar Bin Ahmad

Datuk Ir. Khairil Anwar bin Ahmad holds a BSc. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, an MBA in Strategic Management from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow and was most recently awarded  a prestigious Honorary Doctorate of Civil Law from Newcastle University, UK. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the School of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. In addition to his professional qualifications he is a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. 

Datuk Khairil has more than 30 years experience in senior management and extensive experience as a board  member of publicly listed companies. He was the President / Chief Executive Officer of Iskandar Investment Berhad Malaysia and currently is an Independent Non-Executive Director of SP Setia Berhad, Director of UTM Holdings Sdn Bhd and Director of Knightsbridge House Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

Dr. John Edward Fearon

Dr. John Edward Fearon has wide education management experience in South Africa, the United States, Singapore & Malaysia. He has a BSc (Physics) and an MSc and a PhD in Tertiary Physics Education. He is also a registered Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr. Tech. Eng.). Before embarking on an academic career he spent thirty years in industry as an engineer. In his academic career he has experience as a high school science teacher, a technical college lecturer, a university physics education researcher, and an international schools administrator. Most recently he has been as an administrator of international schools in Singapore and Malaysia most notably Invictus International School (Singapore) and Repton International School (Malaysia).

Ms. Jennifer Margaret Mills

Ms. Jennifer Mills did her Master of Education, at Sydney University, and she has a Graduate Certificate of Educational Leadership, from Edith Cowan University. She is a Graduate Diploma of Arts, from Sydney College and she has a Diploma of Teaching, from Milperra College. She started her teaching career in her hometown of Sydney, then four years later moved into working internationally.

Ms. Jennifer Mills has 30+ years of experience in Education predominately in international settings. She has wide-ranging teaching and management experiences in diverse cultures including Sydney, London, Beijing, Dublin, Manus Island (PNG), Greece, Seoul, Myanmar, and Qatar.

Prior to joining KBH, Jennifer served as Principal at Invictus International School, Dempsey, Singapore, and before that, she was the Primary Head at Myanmar International School of Yangon, Myanmar. Jennifer enjoys the challenge of coming to understand the people and society. She’s looking forward to working with the teachers to build a dynamic, creative, collegiate campus and continue to look for ways to make KBH a special place for the students and the families. Her most recent role sees her in the cosmopolitan city of Singapore as The Head of School at Knightsbridge House International School.

Dr. Jay Yang

Dr. Yang has a PHD in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto. Dr. Yang was born in Taiwan where he completed primary and middle school education. Dr Yang then moved to Canada where by competed his High School and University education. Dr. Yang has worked in both academia and industry and brings with him a unique personal understanding and experience of education best practices from Taiwan and Canada. Dr Yang is also effectively bilingual and is able to provide valuable insight into the quality of our bilingual programme.
